'I Do'- Love In Spite Of COVID (Part 2)

For months, Shayla and Allan planned their wedding in the majestic Meridian Hill (Malcolm X) Park in Washington, DC. I mean who wouldn’t want to share vows at one of the most gorgeous parks in the city. This historic park having multiple terraces, gardens and fountains was the perfect backdrop for this formal wedding.

However, like so many other couples the COVID-19 pandemic halted their original plans. The couple held on to hope as long as they possibly could until receiving the news they dreaded most; Shayla and Allan could no longer safely proceed with their wedding.

Facing such an obstacle at the start of a life long partnership would deter some, but not Shayla and Allan. They chose to celebrate their love!

This devoted couple decided to have an intimate wedding with a guest list of two, myself and the officiant (and a few occasional onlookers :) I was honored to capture their memorable ceremony as they exchanged vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife.

So yet again, LOVE WINS and I couldn’t be in more awe of all my couples affected by this pandemic. Not only are these couples building an unshakable foundation, but truly proving love is always worth celebrating. Congratulations Shayla & Allan!
